Colorway Antics improves quality of life for children with disabilities and/or neurodiversity

Colorway Antics proves it's much more than an entertaining game.
We’ve just confirmed a second year of Minifunkids continuing to license Colorway Antics for use within their programme. So it's a good time to share what’s happening in Spain and how Minifunkids is utilising Colorway for their amazing work.
Who are Minifunkids? https://minifunkids.com/
‘Minifunkids is a specialised virtual reality content platform designed to improve the quality of life of children with disabilities and/or neurodiversity.’ – In simple terms, they use a range of VR products in conjunction with therapy sessions to assist in giving kids with disadvantages, room to grow and interact in ways they might not physically be able to.
We were first contacted by MFK at the end of 2023 when they were looking for experiences to add to their programme and Colorway stood out. “After a long time looking for experiences, Colorway impressed us. The quality of the graphics, the possibilities of painting and the variety of scenarios made Colorway the perfect choice.” We jumped at the opportunity, translated Colorway into Spanish and delivered the game in a way they could implement into their existing platform.
Since implementation, they’re using Colorway as one of their core products, and have been seeing amazing results. As María Jesús, CEO and founder of MiniFunKids, shared, ‘Colorway is a top experience because of its ability to be used in our four areas: motor, sensory, cognitive, and educational. Playing or painting in five different scenarios gives us the chance to work on different skills with the same experience.’
The feedback from students has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing how much they enjoy using the platform. According to the team, ‘They have fun, one of our main goals. Their smiles and motivation to keep on playing are great signals.’ Parents and guardians have also noticed the impact, with MFK sharing, ‘They are so happy to check how their children improve their performance with virtual reality – it’s difficult to express the joy it brings.’
The programme’s reach is steadily expanding, and the team is confident that usage will increase dramatically as they integrate it further into their platform. María Jesús added, ‘Once we start selling it in educational centres, we’re sure we’ll grow significantly’.
Next steps:
Speaking with Antonio (Chief Transformation Officer) about their next steps, they aim to bring their programme into aged care homes to help engage a new audience. He shared their excitement about expanding the use of Colorway beyond their current focus on children, mentioning that they’ve already seen its effectiveness with a wide age range. ‘We have used it in a nursing home where the elderly people are delighted with it,’ Antonio said, highlighting the versatility and appeal of the platform.

As we move into the second year, we have plenty of opportunities to use Minifunkids as a great example of how Colorway could have an extended life outside of product sales.
